Terms of Service
These terms cover what you can expect from LaunchMCP and what we need from you to keep the directory a useful, trustworthy place for MCP makers and the developers who install their servers.
By using LaunchMCP you agree to these terms. If you disagree with any part, do not use the service. Questions? Email hi@launchmcp.io.
Summary
The short version: be honest about what your server does, do not submit malware or spam, do not impersonate other makers, and do not abuse the upvote system. We can remove listings that break these rules. You own your content, but you give us permission to display it. LaunchMCP is provided as-is, and we are not liable for the behavior of third-party servers you choose to install.
Acceptance
By creating an account, submitting a server, upvoting, commenting, or otherwise using LaunchMCP, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using LaunchMCP on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use LaunchMCP. If you are below the age of majority where you live, you may only use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Your account
You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your credentials secure, do not share them, and notify us promptly at hi@launchmcp.io if you suspect unauthorized access. You can close your account at any time from your dashboard.
Acceptable use
While using LaunchMCP, you agree not to:
- - Submit servers that contain malware, backdoors, or otherwise harm users who install them.
- - Misrepresent what a server does, who built it, or which clients it supports.
- - Use multiple accounts, bots, or other manipulation to inflate upvotes, comments, or rankings.
- - Scrape the site at a rate that degrades service, or bypass rate limits and access controls.
- - Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights.
- - Use LaunchMCP to send unsolicited promotional messages to other users.
- - Probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security of the service or the servers it links to.
We may remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where appropriate, we will tell you why.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you publish on LaunchMCP (server listings, descriptions, comments, profile information, and so on). By publishing it, you grant LaunchMCP a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This license ends when you delete the content, except for cached or syndicated copies that are out of our control, and for content others have interacted with which may remain in an anonymized form.
You are responsible for what you publish and must have the rights to publish it. Do not upload code, text, or images you do not own or have permission to use.
Server submissions
LaunchMCP is a directory for Model Context Protocol servers. Submissions must be real, functional MCP servers (or honest previews of upcoming ones, clearly marked). When you submit, you confirm that:
- - You are the maker, or authorized by the maker to submit on their behalf.
- - The description, install instructions, and supported clients are accurate at the time of submission.
- - The server complies with applicable laws, including export controls and any third-party APIs it depends on.
- - The server is free of malware and does not exfiltrate user data without clear, informed consent.
We may edit metadata (tags, categories, formatting) for clarity, and we may delist servers that materially mislead users or violate these terms. Listing on LaunchMCP is not an endorsement.
Intellectual property
The LaunchMCP name, logo, design, and codebase are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy significant portions of the site, scrape data for a competing directory, or use our trademarks without written permission. Server makers retain all rights to their own code and brands.
Third-party links and content
LaunchMCP links to MCP servers, source repositories, and other external resources that we do not control. We do not endorse, warrant, or take responsibility for third-party content, software, or services. When you install a server, you are entering into a relationship with its maker. Read the README, check the source if available, and use your judgment.
Disclaimers
LaunchMCP is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaunchMCP and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service or any third-party server discovered through it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using LaunchMCP at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, if continued access poses a risk to other users, or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) will survive.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-product notice. Continued use of LaunchMCP after the changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and, if you wish, delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LaunchMCP is operated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
